Her TEDxTalk, "Conversations Beyond Words - Translating Life through Imagery & Color," curated as an Editor's Pick on TED.com, encapsulates her mission of fostering authentic connections through creative expression.

As a visual artist, educator, facilitator and collaborator, I believe in the power of cultivating authentic connection through creativity.

My mixed media work uses imagery and color to translate our stories. Working with found images and chalk pastel, these works are visual translations that capture feelings and emotions that transcend expression through mere words. My inspiration stems from layers of my life story, my faith, the joys and pains of the creative process, connections to others, and a reverence for the natural world. My work is my small contribution to affect change in the world through visual translations of love, and struggle and hope and every facet of our shared humanity.
